UNACCEPTABLE SOLID WASTE ITEMS

The Sanitation Department will not collect the following items:

Electronics (TVs, monitors, etc.) "White" Goods/Large Appliances  Grass Clippings
Hazardous Waste Tires  Concrete
Pressure Treated Wood Construction Material  Syringes
Paint Spray Paint  Oil


ELECTRONICS

The Pennsylvania Covered Device Recycling Act was enacted in 2010 and requires consumers to keep covered devices, such as computers, laptops, monitors, and televisions, out of the trash.

Grass clippings will NOT be accepted with solid waste service.

HAZARDOUS WASTE

The Borough of Quakertown will not accept hazardous waste materials or electronic waste. Please refer to Bucks County’s website www.bucks-county.org for a list of hazardous waste and electronic waste collection sites and other County related recycling news.
