Quakertown Borough Parks and Recreation has partnered with St.Lukes University Health Network to offer a Free Camp in a Bag Program for Quakertown School District Families who receive free/reduced lunch or who are experiencing financial strain. Camp in a Bag is a 5 week program where 150 children will receive a bag each week filled with crafts, educational activities, healthy snacks, and much more. COVID-19 has thrown a wrench in our children’s education and summer plans. Camp in a bag is designed to allow children to continue to grow and learn through the summer in a fun and educational way.
Quakertown Borough Parks and Recreation would like to partner with families, local businesses and organizations in order to offer these camp bags to families in need. Businesses and families can help by either providing materials for crafts and activities, or through a monetary donation. Partners will be recognized through the Boroughs social media, newsletter, email blast, website, and by having the opportunity to put “swag” in the bags. The Parks and Recreation Department has created a supply drive on Amazon for those that would like to donate items.
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR DONORS!
