Get ready for sunshine, smiles, and serious FUN because this summer, our parks aren't just for play… it’s where community comes alive!

SummerFest is a pop-up play series designed to bring families outdoors, spark creativity, and build community. We’re partnering with local businesses and organizations to offer a rotating lineup of free activities for kids and families.

All events are free and take place in our great parks!

Nature Adventures with Flowers from 12th: These nature-themed adventures give participants the chance to explore topics like flowers, bugs, plants, wildlife, and more through fun, hands-on activities and discovery.

Sensory Bins with Parks and Rec: The Borough of Quakertown Parks and Rec Department pop-up will feature a new theme each month and giving children a hands-on opportunity to explore, play, and discover through engaging sensory experiences. With a variety of textures, smells, sights, and interactive elements, there's something for everyone to enjoy!

Quakertown Historical Society: Step back in time with the Quakertown Historical Society we have something for the whole family! The kids can have a hands-on history lesson where they can craft their very own tricorn hat or pioneer bonnet to take home. Also provided will be our walking tour brochure of Quakertown, and local cookbook. Come make history with us!

June 25 | 2:00pm-5:00pm | Memorial Park

Touch-A-Truck: Get up close with big trucks, emergency vehicles, and more! Kids can climb, explore, and meet the heroes who operate them. A sensory-friendly period will be available at the start for a quieter experience. Perfect for young explorers and truck lovers of all ages! Click here for more information.

Roots and Wonders: Roots and Wonders Nature Journaling invites kids to explore the park through fun, creative monthly nature journals filled with activities that inspire curiosity, observation, and a love for the outdoors.

June 26 | 3:00pm | Memorial Park Stadium

Hit, Pitch, and Run: This is a free event series for boys and girls ages 7-14, and consists of a series of movements that are important in baseball and softball. They will be tested, and their measurements will be recorded for points. Based on their scores, they will advance from a Local Event to a Team Championship and then to the Finals hosted at the World Series. Click here for more information.

Balloon Artist with SMG ClubHouse: SMG Clubhouse will bring extra fun to the park with a talented balloon artist creating wonderful creations for all children to enjoy!
