The Borough of Quakertown has increased the solid waste and recycling rates, effective January 1, 2026. Under the new structure, the monthly rate for regular residential customers will increase from $34 to $39, while the rate for senior customers will increase from $20 to $25. The adjustment will help cover the growing costs of solid waste collection such as recycling services, equipment maintenance, labor, and landfill tipping fees.

Like many communities, the Borough of Quakertown is facing higher operating costs due to truck maintenance, fuel, labor, and disposal fees.
