We want to remind residents that all recycling must be placed loose in your recycling container — do not bag your recyclables.

While this rule has always been in place, enforcement is now being tightened. The Recycling Center is no longer accepting bagged recyclables because plastic bags make it difficult and unsafe for workers to properly sort materials.

If your recycling is placed in plastic bags, it will not be accepted and may be collected with regular trash instead.
